ok same as me. I’ve replied twice asking for confirmation they received my email but no reply. Interview is Tuesday week so I’d imagine I’ll get the link this week. Just anxious my confirmation wasn’t received 😂

Had my interview yesterday. Was tough enough. Asked a lot of questions and were quite strict on how much time they have to spend on each competency

Well Done! At least you have it over now! 😊Did they give any indication as to when you should expect a result? Also just wondering did you have to do a presentation as part of the interview? .. And did they specifically focus questions on your previous tax experience or were they more generalised? I know this is capability based but seeing as it was advertised as a Tax specific role, do they actually specifically quiz you on tax knowledge & experience?

Did any one do the internal verbal maths and chat assess. It was the same layout as for the external competition ones.

1. It’s primarily based off your form so whatever examples you used and sometimes they ask for other examples.
2. There’s no presentation.
3. They don’t quiz you about tax but they do ask about your experience and how you fit the role.
4. Few random questions about weaknesses/ future revenue problems/ how you handle underperforming staff/ difference between manager and leader etc.

Interview done! I feel it was quite tough but fair. I have to agree with everything mentioned above- the main advice I would give is to know your form really well and have a second example prepared for each competency. There were one or two questions thrown in about the role of a HEO and about your leadership style. Best of luck to everyone, hopefully we won't bd waiting too long now for the results!!

Just had my interview yesterday as well. I’d say it was tough as well. Advice above is good - have a second example for each competency. I come from a finance background but don’t have a huge amount of experience in tax, so at the end they did go into quite a bit of detail about what tax experience I did have.

Yeah, I did both the internal tests and this one and I agree that they were both very similar. I thought both were very difficult (especially the numerical).

You may do it already but it’s worth having a calculator, pen and paper at hand for the numerical tests

I honestly don't know but there are no results out yet so interviews are probably ongoing! I checked old emails and in a previous competition Batch 2 were interviewed about 3 months after batch 1 - it may not be the same this time but it might give you something to go on...

The first group were called for interview in mid to late January so that must be Batch 1. In previous competitions the remainder were called at a later date and were called Batch 2 or Batch 3.....I'm just assuming it will be the same this time but it may not be! Did you do your interview yet or have you been given a date?
