Cost to Move ESB Pole

    Could anyone tell me if they have been successful in getting ESB in moving a pole for a not so astronomical price!! I'd like to have the driveway widened to fit our 2 cars but there is an ESB pole bang in the middle outside.

    I received a quote back of 9000 Euros to have it moved by a approx 1 metre! Do they have to break down the costs to show where the money is being spent by moving the pole? It's like they just came up with this outrageous price to put us off having it moved as they couldn't be bothered moving it out of our way. Any advice welcome!!
