Hot water issues since new thermostat

We got a new ch system in 3 yrs ago. It's 3 zones, 1 hot water only, 2 for upstairs rads and 3 for downstairs rads. New Joule water cylinder with internal insulation. Over the summer months and beyond we only use the hot water zone. Water piping and heats quickly, could still be hot for up to 24 hours.

Coincidence or not, but we got a thermostat fitted to our water cylinder during the summer. We needed a BER done and the BER guy suggested getting it done. So we did.. The fact that we presumed the new modern cylinder had an inbuilt one but didn't is a whole other saga. So fast forward to last week when we started turning on the CH so discover it barely heats the water! And we had no option but to turn on thr hot water zone too which has to be wrong! I've booked the plumber back but any heads up? Could this be related to the new thermostat? Or coincidentally a totally separate issue? New enough system all.tje same so would be annoying if so.Thanks.

SoSorry , should have been more clear. CH no longer heats the hot water.

You have two CH zones, one upstairs, the other downstairs, these should have separate thermostats, can you check that they are turnd up, then programme or boost both on and check that the motorized valves are opening, there is a manual lever on the end/side of the motorized valve, if the valve has opened then the lever will feel loose and easily pulled across, if valve hasn't opened then the lever will have a fairly stiff resistance to pulling it open, check this first.
