Gearbox Specialist Maynooth? Help

    Well folks, currently sitting at the side of the road about 4km outside Maynooth. I have a 2013 Renault Grand Scenic with the exceptionally poor auto EDC dual clutch box. Clutches have been on the way out for a while. Thought I'd make it to Galway this evening to get to my own mechanic. Alas not the case. 290,000km on it so its probably overdue.

    I'm gonna get a second hand transmission to put it in the car which is fine but finding a mechanic willing to work on it not so easy (hence why I am coming from Kill from an alleged "Renault guy")

    Anyone here know a decent independent mechanic/gearbox specialist around Maynooth where I can try get the car to tonight while I source a second hand box next week? Very desperate, any recommendations appreciated

    Craft Cars near Kilcock are a great independent garage-no website, but google them-same goes for Maynooth Auto Services, between Maynooth and Kilcock. Hope you get sorted!

    Maynooth Auto Services but don't think they do a recovery service.

    I've just text Niall at Maynooth Auto Services but he won't take it either unfortunately. Don't think I'd make it to Craft Cars.

    Any other recommendations folks? Nearest garage is ADF Motors? Anyone know their work? Most people seem to balk at a gearbox swap

    You could try Don Baker just outside Johnstownbridge. Not a gearbox specialist, but doesn't shy away from that kind of work.
