Any ideas of likely stage times given it's almost a school night / Sunday dodgy public transport?

    8pm support

    9pm headline act

Like it is for thousands of concerts a year

it was merely being accurate and stating a fact.

Try being less of a **** the next time you state some accurate facts

would take it from the original poster being a regular poster here that they’ve been to more than a few concerts in there time and know that it’s universally doors 7, support 8 and headline act 9pm for shows across the western world

Cheers mate for the support. It's the standard Boards "withering second post on the thread to feel important" so I'm not worried too much.

Her last dates in the US all had doors around 7pm but she didn't appear til 9.25pm and off stage around 11pm? We're the first on the Europe leg I think…

Except when it's not. Quite often…

Normally I'd be inclined to defend you, but you repeatedly give this response when you don't know. (you were wrong at least once recently 🙄)… If you don't know, don't answer.

...it's in the Olympia. Go to the event page on their site on Sunday and they'll have exact times at the bottom of the page. They always post them

It's not universally though, it's just common practice in countries with curfew laws.

If you really wanted to help, you could have simply said that this is the most common and that the Olympia theatre often (if not always) post times in their website.

Just saw there weather maps ghoulish for Sunday - there were quite a number of resale tix on TM suddenly today

Oh really? Is it wind or rain forecasted? I have a different gig on Sunday, hopefully it won't be too bad - not that it matters much anyway 🙃

Punishing sheets of rain all day and night apparently - obviously won't affect an indoor gig but might slow down transit home on Sunday timetables which could put punters off coming out at all

U2 Numb bumped in to David Bowie in 1975 and said lets produce something with distorted synths 50 years in the future. Only gave the album a listen this morning and its decent.

She has the eccentric Charlotte Kemp Muhl (Sean Ono Lennon's partner) on guitars/bass. Should be a great gig.

Getting toasted in Cassidys on decent Vietnow beforehand. One of the best pubs in Dublin even though its central.

She came on 920pm, same as the US shows - Lad in front of me started posting on her Instagram to hurry up!

Incredible gig, particularly the funkier numbers, but a more sombre tone than her earlier more colourful shows? Tunes from the new album obviously but also the last three. Loved seeing that Sequential Circuits Prophet V beast in use up there.

Some crowd surfing and also some Pete Townshend antics when her guitar got dumped down into the crowd! But disappointed we didn't get the visuals the US shows got

    Fab crowd virtually no phones/chatting/bar/toilet

4.5 stars out of 5 overall

Excellent show and a great crowd. Pindrop quiet at times, when it felt appropriate. But twin guitar assaults are always welcome, too.

Great night. The sound could have been a bit louder, especially the guitars but I really enjoyed it. The whole band gave a fantastic performance.

Also, the best crowd I've seen in a long time too. Seemed to be no braindead talkers around, thankfully.

Whoever did the drum mix did a great job, sound was excellent - and it's great to hear a drum solo these days too. Lighting was simple, but effective. Annie was in good form and as fit as a fiddle. Jason Faulkner and Rachel Eckroth were great too.

What happened with the guitar she handed down into the crowd - I couldn't see it?

A couple of her crew were straight out along the photographers run to nab it back

She was holding it out for people in the front to strum it, but one guy thought she wanted him to take it. The message soon got across, but the problem was that the gap between stage and barrier was too wide, so she had to hold it out quite far, forcing her to let go of it. Her team rescued it, as Uncle Ernie has remarked.

I thought Charlotte Kemp Muhl was great. Very melodic bass lines. I'm familiar with Ghost of a Sabre Tooth Tiger, but had never seen her on stage.

I was surprised to find out that she's 37. She looks a decade younger.

First thing I said to the missus when I got home, the crowd was one of the best ever no talking during songs, pindrop quiet when appropriate and very little phone usage really enjoyed the set.
