Hospital panel- How does this work?

    Hi guys,

    This is the first time I have been placed in a panel. I am disappointed that I didn’t get the job but confused at the same time about the whole panel thing.


    I got the email from the hospital yesterday that I have not been selected for the interview. However due to the calibre of my interview, I have been successful in getting a place in the panel after the hospital decide to start up a panel. I am number 8 in the panel.

    Does this mean that I am eligible for only roles in that hospital I interviewed in, or would jobs around that area be sent to me as well?

    It also reminded me that a HR from the other hospital up the North Dublin, called me to ask me if I want to be put in a panel. But, the noise around me was covering up the whole conversation, I didn’t catch the whole thing. The thing is I don’t know if I am placed in another interview panel or selection panel for another job.

    Do all these mean that I have been placed in 2 separate hospital panels or under the HSE panel as a whole?

    I am truly in a huge confusion state.
