Looking for a 65" TV for a new house for a wall which will have sun on it in the evening. Is an OLED a bad idea with that?

    Was looking at a LGC4, LGG3 or a Samsung S90D

    Hey MCW92.

OLED will give the best image but if in direct sun light can cause reflections.

OLED TVs are best suited for darker rooms, where their contrast capabilities can be fully appreciated.
Some OLED screens can be a little difficult to read in bright sunlight.

However with the brighter OLED panels this is not that much of an issue.

The LG C4 has an EVO panel which increases the brightness significantly. This is a very popular television.
I have an older C1 without an EVO panel and love it.

The G3 is now discontinued with no more stock available. The brightest of them all but does jump up in the pricing.

The S90D is also a great television but not just as bright as the C4.

Also worth a look is the Philips 65OLED908. This is Philips flagship OLED and use MLA panel which you don't get in the LG until the G4 series.
We also have this TV as part of our Philips OLED promo and it is priced at just £1499 / €1799

    Thanks Kenny.

So between the C4 and the Philips 908, which is the better TV for a brightest living room do you reckon? Ignoring the price difference. The Philips?

    Hey MCW92.

The Philips is going to be the brighter panel and better for the brighter room.
The Ambi light in the Philips is a great touch for watching movies. It also has a built in sound setup by B&W giving very good audio.

The Philips is still listed on our .com site at £1999 / €2399, so our deal on it is crazy.

I'm gonna butt right in here, sorry folks!

I would 100% opt for the Philips 65OLED908, ignoring the fact that the OLED performance and the stunning 5 Star What-H-Fi review:

    https://www.whathifi.com/reviews/philips-65oled908

..I think that the ambilight will really help you in a bright area to highlight the contrast on screen and accentuate the TV experience - but to take just one headline from the What Hi-Fi review - they say the OLED908 has a 'Brilliantly bright and dynamic picture'

..and then there is the built-in soundbar!

..and last of all the price, that What HiFi review is at £2099, we are currently at just £1499 /1799€!

Hope that is helpful, sorry for butting in Kenny,
