Hello all.

Current set up after much reading of this forum and watching of YT:

5.5kW Ecco Hybrid Inverter - SYNK-5K-SG04LP1

10 x Longi Hi-Mo X6 HTH 520W Black White Mono

Pylontech US5000

Solar Assistant

South facing on a tiltable ground mount

Its been a steep learning curve but we are extrextremely happy with the results.

After watching ….Ghosts… videos and others, we are looking at now selling on the Pylontech and building our own battery with a Seplos BMS (proprobably SEPLOS Mason 280L)

My question is, does anyone else have this set up? My worry is getting it to work with Solar Assistant as I had to make my own cables for the SunSynk to get everything working. It was not a big job, just took a good bit of reserarch to get it all working.

The sunSynk only has one port that shares Can and RS485.

You can buy the port splitter from Solar Assistant's website and use both CAN/rs485 at the same time, I do that.

Thanks, I made the cable myself and its all working well with the current set up.

What I was really looking for is someone with the same set up with a Seplos BMS and how they managed to get it working. I just want to be aware of any needs before I go pulling stuff apart.

If you want to pull the seplos battery into solar assistant, it will be as separate connection, Wont effect the inverter monitoring at all

Should work fine but as @graememk said you will have one cable from the seplos to the inverter and then you can run a second cable from seplos to solar assistant which will give you the proper battery values as shown here: https://solar-assistant.io/help/battery/seplos-bms
