Ireland unlucky there, I thought Ireland got that ball from a knock on, then we knock on and it's a scrum to Pumas

Of course, I missed the replay because I was typing this 😁

They keep panicking when they actually turn a ball over. Like they're trying to win a penalty and have no idea what to do when they have the ball in hand.

Forwards need to tighten up and quit the offloads.

Ben O'Connor needed someone on his shoulder there or to arrive quicker

Stephen Smyth is a bit of a baller.

    And a turnover merchant.

Big audition for him on a big stage

Good break from O’Connor down the left touchline, don’t think the cross field kick from Prendergast was the right option.

    Try #3 for Ireland

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,983 ✭✭✭arsebiscuits1

Agree. Front foot ball in the 22. 2 phases off 9/10 and we're in there.

Oh well scored a minute later ha

Third Irish try from Izuchukwu, after a few pick and goes close to the Pumas line.

Scrum has been solid so far, and both props have had some good moments in open play with good hits and carries.

    17-7 at HT.

Ireland lead 19-7 at halftime, both teams guilty of spoiling their own ball but Ireland look very comfortable out there.

    +1

He’s forcing it too much. Plenty of space out there so I see how the big plays are tempting but we’re much better off just going through a few phases.

A pleasing thing that I noticed in that half (although admittedly only half watching with work) is Prendergast looks to be physical. Standing up to lads in the tackle and showing a good low technique too

I think it's a slight flaw in this tour.

Results here don't really matter. Like it or not there is 15 lads on audition on the pitch today.

I have no doubt that they are all going to serve the team and will be team players. But there has to be at least a little part of them knowing that if they make the big moment it will be noticed more

Absolutely. Learn very little from pissing through them.

Just saw the replay behind him of his kick into the corner though and that was a fiercely unlucky bounce.

Case and point but happy for Smyth 😂

BP try for Ireland on the 41st minute, great break by Sheridan

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,197 ✭✭✭✭phog

Missed conversion, I think the score is incorrect on the TV, I think it should be Ireland 24 - Pumas 7

Or else IRFU tweeted an incorrect halftime score

    Dirty hit on BOC

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,327 ✭✭✭realhorrorshow

Did you think? There was one point where he was running parallel with an attacker but didn't attempt to tackle him, a cover defender had to come from further away. Also only half watching.

Ooof Ward looked very pedestrian there

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,197 ✭✭✭✭phog

Thats as soft a try as you could possibly concede

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,197 ✭✭✭✭phog

    Thats a penalty/penalty try

MOD got a YC for a lot less in Galway a hundred years ago.

    Try #5 for Ireland

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 397 ✭✭ingo1984

weve looked better in attack since Murphy has come on. keeping the ball and putting it through the hands.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,197 ✭✭✭✭phog

Ref very lenient with Ireland there, that's a YC for tackling that close to the line while not being back 10m from the penalty kick
