    Hi all,

After 15 years working in local government I’ve decided to change career to secondary school teaching. I have an arts degree with two teaching subjects and currently doing PME in secondary teaching.
Can anyone tell me where I stand when it comes to salary? My current salary is higher than starting teacher salary. Given that it’s all the public service would I still be starting at first point of teaching scale?

Does the pension entitlement I have so far get carried across?

    thanks in advance
