Would love to think Davidson just ignored Crofts stupid 1st job banter question for being stupid, as opposed to not hearing it

The Corrs there to present the quali trophy is so random.

Norris and Verstappen front row, things could be spicy tomorrow

For all the talk of Max struggling with the redbull he done the business once again in qualifying, can he keep up with Norris tomorrow? I’m interested to see how that goes now.

Great for Max to get second and will make the first corner interesting as Lando will probably only look for him in his mirror opening the door for the Mercs.

Well that session left me Breathless. Will Lando Runaway with the win tomorrow?

Will he even be leading after lap 1? I'll be listening to the Radio with synced up Sky pictures to find out.

    This too shall pass.

George to wipe out lando and max and Lewis winning

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,812 ✭✭✭✭dulpit

Disappointing from Oscar to be only 5th.

From the way Ricciardo was being interviewed it's apparent tomorrow is his last day in f1. He's lost his spark again. Shame, but unexpected based on his performances.

What's even worse is that Checo should be much closer to the exit door then Riccardo

    This too shall pass.

Verstappen giving one word answers in the press conference then doing his own press conference outside is hilarious

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,812 ✭✭✭✭dulpit

It was a stupid decision by the FIA. I like this sort of push back.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,348 ✭✭✭PsychoPete

Max is 100% right, Lando and Hamilton agreed with him. Sulayem is a clown, he's after digging this hole with his stupid comments

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,812 ✭✭✭✭dulpit

You can tell he's not liked by the drivers. He's always hanging around at the end of the race and generally gets blanked. Lewis in particular completely ignored him at Silverstone.

A very exciting qualifying session that was. Really enjoyed it. Now for Lando to get a good start and win this tomorrow. That would be great.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

It's always really awkward with him just lingering around. You can tell Hamilton just can't stand him and it's completely justified

So far, it has been a pretty good race weekend with plenty of exciting action.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,444 ✭✭✭McFly85

Looking forward to tomorrow now! Landos race to lose, he’s looked pretty good this weekend. But Max beside him and he usually starts slowly, could get spicy very quickly! Probably have a safety car at some point too. Can’t wait!

Childish nonsense from Verstappen, 99.9% of sports people interviewed are able to get through an interview or press conference without swearing. Just accept your very minor punishment, move on, and don't swear in future interviews, everyone else manages it, it's not that difficult.

  • Moderators, Category Moderators, Recreation & Hobbies Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 34,413 CMod ✭✭✭✭ShamoBuc

The majority of drivers curse when on the Team radio, which they've been told not to do also.

I look forward to never hearing a Bleep again.…

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,812 ✭✭✭✭dulpit

He's an adult. Adults swear. It doesn't hurt anybody. He's also dutch, who swear a lot in my experience. And still doesn't hurt anybody.

If he has said something targeted at someone then it's a different scenario. But he didn't.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,655 ✭✭✭✭Frank Bullitt

It’s not about swearing during interviews. Put a mic on a footballer during a game and the air would turn blue.

You’d think you know what the punishment was for before you post nonsense.

about time, he has been blocking a seat for years now…

I think how many rookies/newbies are coming in and doing well means it’s a bit of an easier decision for teams to promote. Piastri is in his second season tearing it up, Bearman has scored points in two different cars in only 2 races. Colapinto who nobody even considered we for a race is already doing very well at a back marker team like Williams. Doohan coming in next season too.

The amount of money saved on salaries must be massive too, Lawson will earn far less then Danny Ric and at worst do as well as him, if Sauber who I assume are paying Bottas a high salary replace him with Pourchaire for example that’s a lot of money saved.

Aston Martin actually have interesting scope in this regard, an ageing driver and a bang average one, both could be replaced but quality rookie drivers and move forward IMO in years to come.

Nonsense from you more like. Bin Sulayem is absolute clown, potentially a massive racist, and deserves to be called out for his nonsense. It’s obvious Max has the backing of the drivers on this. I hope he continues it for the rest of the season.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,348 ✭✭✭PsychoPete

Sulayem said "they aren't rappers" or something along those lines which seems to be what Hamilton took offence too. I think Fred got punished for swearing in a press conference last year but Seb said it years ago too. FIA need to stop trying to control the drivers

"Colapinto who nobody even considered we for a race is already doing very well at a back marker team like Williams."

Williams are no longer a back marker team now do. Williams are a midfield team now. Sauber and Haas are the back marker teamss now and Alpine.

I just saw the excellent Mika Hakkinen.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,143 ✭✭✭Busman Paddy Lasty

Hulk didn't get the memo he's a back backmarker!

I wonder through different stop strategies and what not if Oscar could get close to Max. Probability almost zero considering the track but a bit of pressure and some dive bombs could make for an interesting day.

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 10,726 Mod ✭✭✭✭Andrew76

Afternoon folks. Fingers crossed for a decent race.

Yeah, hasn’t been an easy track to overtake so track position could be king. Wonder will the extra DRS zone make a difference.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,143 ✭✭✭Busman Paddy Lasty

Maybe Hamilton could have a crack at a 2 stopper with Russell protecting his rear.

Lovely move that was from Colapinto. Fairly stale at the front so far, Norris has so much pace in hand.

it’s weekends like this you’d miss Logan Sargent where he would bin it into the wall.

    Albon out?
