    I have the same question.

I purchased the Airpods pro 2nd generation when they went USB C and was waiting for the update with hearing aid extra but now I read its on the airpod pro 2 ??? i thought they were the same ?

They are the same. The hearing aid update is coming soon.

There was an update this week for users with ios 18 RC installed that added head nodding support for Siri and a few other bits. It might be in my head but I find the transparency mode and noise canceling are a bit better after the update. Less 'white noise' in the background.

I just used them on a flight back from holidays. Havnt noticed anything in difference. Noticed the version is the 7A version thats the update but noticed nothing in difference. When is the hearing update due ?

I’m not surprised at the confusion really. It looks like Apple are, across the board, falling back into the multiple almost indistinguishable model muck that Steve cut out when he came back in ‘97. There are now two AirPod models, one with noise cancelling, one without. Aside from the form factor, the ear fittings and some software enabled features, I’m struggling to note the difference between the noise cancelling AirPods and the AirPods Pro now. Looks lie basic, better, much better which is fine but it’s just getting harder in general to figure out the Apple lineup. I think if I was coming over from another platform now it’d look quite confusing.
