Hello, My Nana has received the grant for older people to fix her house roof soffit and fascia. She has asked me to look up places because she would like to have it done before the winter kicks in.

I do not know how to find places that will accept the grant the first two places that I rang do not accept the grant. I don't know why.

Is there a list or does anybody know anywhere that does accept the grant, and even better would you recommend them?

    Thank you

    Edited.

Sorry, I meant to add North County Dublin is where she is.

It helps if you state the area you're in.

Thanks, I edited my post to say North County Dublin. I had it in my head to include that the first time but forgot.

I'm not in your area but you should be able to get a roofer or builder somewhere in the region. Google roofers or contractors in north Dublin and see what that throws up. Ask some of the neighbours or extended family who they would recommend. You could also consider posting in this thread.

You could take a chance and ring the housing dept of the council who are allocating the grant and expalin to them that you cant get anyone and ask if they could give you a couple of names and phone numbers. Depending on who you get you might just get lucly as they normally dont give names but the right person might.
