2RN MW transmitter in Ballinure (Mahon) Cork demolished

    As the title says, over the last weeks the MW radio mast was demolished and removed from the site.

    The transmitter plant buildings remain.

    I know the transmitter was decommissioned for some time already, but the hazard marker lights on the mast were kept working.

    Does anyone know anything about the removal? Why? Who? When? How? What is the plan for site now?

    The MFV Creadan Lady is a mussel dredger from Dunmore East.
