TV Fixings for Insulated Plasterboards

I have just installed 62mm insulated plasterboards and looking to re-install my 50" TV back to the wall with a full motion mount.

There is no batten behind the wall as the boards are fixed directly to the wall with mushrooms / anchors.

I have looked everywhere and the traditional TV fixings go up to 45mm of insulation and plasterboard, which is not enough.

    Any idea?

    Thanks

You can get 150 pr 180mm screws, they will work fine for you.

Just for information, Bullfix work well on insulated plasterboard. The small ones simply open out behind the plasterboard and push aside the insulation. The extra strong ones do not work however as the jaws will not fully open.

Strong enough for this job - but I would agree that long heavy duty tec screws are a better fit for a heavy TV.

cut a notch out of the insulated slab wherever you’re planning on putting in a screw, build this out from the wall with timber so that the timber is flush with the slab and fixed to the wall, put your fixing for the tv bracket through the timber and into the wall, it’ll be completely solid all the way

Get some 150mm brick screws, drill them into the brick. If the bracket is big it won't crush the plasterboard.

Or get 150mm express nails and drill into the concrete, drive them flush with the plaster board. Then drive a brown rawl plug up the center and screw the bracket to them.

all the answers are here. Do not attempt to try any heavy duty rawl plugs for plaster board. The TV will hit the floor. Into the concrete is the only way.

    just get 100mm/120mm masonry screws.
coach screws with a nylon rawlplug or similar. And go into

The wall any cold bridging would be minimal

    Thanks all,
I went with 150mm concrete screws, drilled a hole with a 6mm drill bit.
    The TV won't fall :)
