First episode and I'm out. So many BBC dramas have a real problem keeping a consistent tone, and even with just the first episode, there so were way too many silly contrivances.

And spoiler: I thought it was ridiculous that a police officer would take the word of a young child that there was no one else hiding in the luggage compartment, instead of just checking it themselves.

Big let down given the reviews I had heard of it during the week. Can’t see me watching the second episode.
Head of cyber crime on the train taking the most important of phone calls doesn’t move away from a noisy hen party to hear what’s happening on a hijacked train!!🙈 Way too many ridiculous moments like that.

Low budget speed on a train, give that one a miss

I was thinking that too, just get up and move! I also laughed that the info relating to the wanted person was coming though. One. Word. At. A. Time. for dramatic effect 😅

For a BBC production the quality of the camerawork was off, guess it was to give the effect of realtime but didn’t quite work in my opinion.🤷‍♂️ So few police at the train station to clear the train given the serious nature of the situation. Just bizarre at times.

Watched the first episode last night, and i think ye are all being a little harsh!! 😂

Yes there are problems, but what tv show doesnt have problems, i mean if the cop found him hiding with the luggage, the series would finish right there! For something that required an actual script, production, actors, effects etc. I'd rather have this on the telly than another cheap crappy reality show!

It's got to be worth a watch, "rent a Scot" James Kosmo's in it. 😛

So i watched the second episode last night, and that last leg i was standing on is getting a bit shaky!! 😂

I'd say the first 50 mins could have been cut out and the last ten mins would have done it, there was alot of just staring into space in deep contemplation of what was happening which was annoying, and idiot characters.

I still maintain it better than any reality tv shows though!!

I watched a few episodes on iPlayer. This is a scenario and type of show that I usually love but there is something a bit off with this show. It's like they took Idris Elba's Hijack and passed it through a shitify algorithm. The scenes on the train are decent enough, but the scenes back in the investigation control centre can be seriously ropey. I also couldn't stop thinking that Vicky McClure would have been far better in the lead role than Alexandra Roach. That being said, it is enjoyable in a fast food sort of way.

    Wrong thread

I was thinking of a Hijack coincidence because a Welsh woman in a "control centre" was the go-between in both, with Eve Myles playing the part in Hijack, and Alexandra Roach doing pretty much the same thing in Nightsleeper. 😛

I love these type of shows/films only watched episode 1, it is bobbins but it is enjoyable. There were some genuinely eye rollingly bad parts. Singing foundations...the lost child, the mother didn't seem that fussed...the emergency stop isn't working but I am going to run and press all of them lol

Only character I liked was the oil rigger and they killed him off.

Well how did it end, have it recorded, is it worth watching the finale?
