Existing Shed - Planning question

Hi there, I've an existing stone shed beside my house. It's a approx 9m x 4m. It's not in great condition so I'd rather knock and rebuild than repair it. There's also a good bit of space behind it and the front is close to the road.

So my question is, can I knock it, and rebuild a shed the same size but further back from it's current location, say 4 metres without planning? With stone cladding so it would look the same.

Or if that isn't possible, could I knock part of the front of the shed and build onto the back, but keeping it the same size? Effectively moving it back.

Hope that makes sense, although I probably sound like a total chancer. I know you can build 25m² shed without planning, but I find the current size very handy for my needs. And I couldn't find anything online in relation to existing sheds/garages.

    Thanks

You would need PP if you rebuilt at a different location even though it is only a couple of metres.

I cant see any issue with partly re-building/re-structuring the existing shed if finishing in stone to match.

both require planning. The only exemption available is 25sqm.

Should be easy to get planning

I misread part of the op. Apologies. Mellor is correct. Both proposals would require PP.

Thanks. I had a feeling completely knocking and rebuilding would need PP, but thought option 2 might have been a way around it. Will look into application so!
