Tee Time Available at Ballybunion on Friday, September 13th - Discounted Rate!

    Hello everyone,

Next week, with a group of 32 Dutch golfers we will be traveling to the south of Ireland to play three fantastic courses: Dooks, Killeen, and Ballybunion.

We have 9 starting flights booked and already paid for at Ballybunion on Friday, September 13th, but due to cancellations we only need 8 flights, meaning we have one tee time available at 08:50. Although Ballybunion doesn't offer refunds, they have kindly reopened the tee time for others to book. If it gets rebooked, we will get our money back, but to increase our chances, I'm reaching out here.

The standard green fee is €350 per person, but we’re offering it for €150 per person. If you're interested in playing one of Ireland's best courses at a great rate, this is your chance!

If you know of any other places where I could share this message, please let me know. And my apologies if this is not the place to share these messages.

    Best regards,
    Maurits

Hi Maurits. I hope you get sorted. You’re paying them 11k for the remaining 8 lines and they won’t let you cancel one. That’s seems very harsh to me.

"….Cancellations received more than six months in advance of the date of play will be refunded in full. Within six months from the date of play, cancellations will result in forfeiture of the full green fee – with no exception"…

Unbelievable that they are almost fully booked out and need 6 months for a cancellation… No wonder so many tourists play in the rain!

Tough terms and conditions set out by the club, but I'm sure they'll have worked out some argument or other to justify the policy.

You're Dutch, Maurits? Interesting to see that you also use the same (incorrect) word for tee-time/group/line as Germans, namely "flight". We don't use flight in that context in English, but it also surprises me how many native English speakers in Germany use the word in that sense. Bit like "handy" (for mobile phone) and "mobbing" (for bullying) - English words that have a different meaning in other languages.

Hope you get someone to take up your offer (I'll ask some Irish friends if they're interested).

I know people who booked Lahinch and the weather was horrific - no way would they consider a refund or even a credit note to play again.

I'm well used to playing in tough weather but there is a point when things become almost unplayable.
