Health Insurance for first time

Guys, how do ye buy this?

Some from the same company with €8.03 in the price difference but they look the same. Actually, what you actually get is very lacking in detail on that site.

What are you meant to look for when buying this? I looked at this before years ago and gave up.

Am I better off buying this in Ireland? Is it worth having?

Does your employer offer any sort of health insurance, death in service cover, extended sick pay?

Does your mortgage include life insurance and or income protection?

What is your age profile and do you have any outstanding health issues?

Most of the benefits of health insurance are skipping years of waiting lists for scans etc. If you get cancer having insurance probably won't impact outcome but may detect it earlier.

You'd wonder is it always worth it

Insurance would be f all good to me if it didn't cover knee surgery etc.

Really and how long do you think you've got to save up to cover medical treatment for a permanent incapacity? You don't understand risk, you most like have never met people who have found themselves in that situation and you are giving very bad advice.

Where did you get your crystal ball?

A very healthy family member had similar attitude, but was very very appreciative of having it when unexpectedly diagnosed with a condition and was able to get immediate treatment and stay in a private room.

It's relatively well priced here and well worth having in some form if you can
