I travelled to Sudan for 5 days for work back in 2018. I found out after the trip that I could no longer get an ESTA for travel to the US and must get a seperate visa which I never did as I wasn't travelling to the states. I have since gotten married and changed my name on my passport, do I still need a visa or can I now get an ESTA?

Yes you still need it. The visa is easy to get, though you do need to go to the embassy
