Thought about creating a thread for this development given the size of it!

Is anyone currently in the process of buying a house here? I've my name in the hat for phase 2 but wondering where they're at with phase 1, from driving by the site things to be moving at speed now which is exciting.

High prices all things considered but look like lovely houses :)

Is there anywhere that doesn't have a lot of social housing in new builds nowadays? They seem to be selling loads to housing bodies.

Donabate is being hit worse though because there's a lot of developments happening there. Balmoston alone will have 1200 homes.

Also, for Balmoston the figure is 20% social + 20% affordable (Part V is 20%, of which 10% must be social), so it is almost double the required amount for Balmoston.

Not factoring how many will be rented by housing bodies, so IMO quite high in comparision to other developments etc I heard some rumours Fingal originally wanted the development to be 30-40% social, not sure how true is that though

I was looking at seven mills and Respond bought half the units in the first phase (320) and they were mostly apts. The next phase is 500 apts which will probably also be AHB purchased too. Insane.

Hi there,

I am also looking at this development. The 3 bed semi is out of my price range by 20k so am considering the 3 bed duplex. I emailed and requested to look at a shophouse but was told there are none. It is quite hard to see from the plans certain things.

Do the duplex townhouses have their own front doors or is it shared?

Some of the duplexes have a terraces and some have a garden, does anyone know the dimensions?

How is the terrace accessed? I cannot see where the door is on the plan?
