I am in a Virgin Media cabled housing estate and have recently received notification that they will soon be upgrading the estate with fibre cable.
If this is to run alongside the existing coaxial system, what sort of external equipment would be installed on the outside of houses? Are there fibre equivalents of catenaries, amplifiers, splitters etcetera?
