Hello I have an account but I don’t know how to access to place my problem. I’m sending it this way. I hope that’s okay.

    I Purchased a house in October 2020.

In 2024, discovered fire damage costing 15,000 t euro to repair. The interior was fixed, but the fire had also damaged the eaves and gables, which was concealed by the original aluminium casings. Upon removal, extensive fire and water damage were exposed, raising concerns about potential wiring damage. A registered builder is currently repairing the work.

The damage was concealed by aluminium, and the previous owner's insurance company likely understood this issue, considering the architecture of the fire.

Can I reclaim my repair costs? As a senior citizen on a limited budget,

I had an engineers inspection done, there was no mention of a fire. I would not have purchased if I knew it had a fire.

The condition of the wood removed  is burned by claim and smoke.

The fire must have been severe, given the condition of the timbers. The fire department was likely called, causing additional damage to the eaves with the fire extinguisher..

I contacted the fire station, but as of yet I have no information about the fire. I believe they may come to do an inspection for me. But because I was not the owner at the time of the fire they may not be able to disclose that information.

    Thank you .

cont. fire not disclosed to me before house purchase. All the insulation in the attic was removed, and not replaced. The downstairs was covered in a type of wallpaper that can be painted over. It seems they deliberately covered over the exposed areas and ignored the concealed areas. Anna
