Ford Kuga - drove up on a tree stump

    Hi

    Hit a tree stump passenger side and it damaged this underneath

    I've no idea what this is but anyone got an idea what it is and roughly how much to replace/ repair

    On image is of the damage and the other of the undamaged side

    Looks like it did its job, probably there to protect what’s behind it. Other than that I dunno what it is. Doesn’t seem important for function anyway.

    Looks like it might the place where you would but the jack against if changing a tyre? Doubt it needs repairing but shouldn't be much to straighten it out

    I wouldn't say so, it's hollow and thin.

    Maybe a support brace for the subframe, doesn't look like it's something that'd affect alignment and doesn't seem to have touched any suspension by the photo, drive it on and don't worry about it.

    It looks like a protective guard that did it's job and saved you a repair bill, it would probably straighten easy enough with a vice grips if you really want to fix it.

    FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

    You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

    Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.
