sediment filter.

    Would it be inadvisable to put a sediment filter on the outlet from the domestic water tank in the attic.

    I know it would be better on the incoming, but that would mean a lot more work.

    Gauze in shower and toilet feed plugging up a couple of times each year.

    If you're experiencing issues with sediment, then yes, you could put a filter on it. The pressure won't be high coming off a tank, so bear that in mind in terms of flow.
