We have a Peugeot 5008 hdi 2022, recently we have had a brake pad wear out completely while the rest ,the other seven are at 60 % . It's an inside rear brake pad. It has caused slight damage to the brake disc.

    Whats your warranty story.

The main dealer won't cover it as they maintaining it's wear and tear and not a car fault ???

yeah a warranty wouldn’t normally cover things like that, the question is whether it’s reasonable to expect brake pads to wear out so quickly

What sort of mileage have you done?

65000 kms all the rest are at 60%. Just wondering has this happened anyone else.

My guess is this has something to do with the handbrake. Would this car have an electronic handbrake by any chance? People coming from a manual handbrake setup to an electronic handbrake can be flummoxed and find themselves driving with the handbrake ON occasionally and this will obviously mean uneven wear on the rear brakes.

65,000 km is not unreasonable for brake pads to start wearing, the question is why one is so much worse than the others.
