    Hi All

Looking to get a coffee machine for the office - 50 -70 cups a day approx. Bean to cup type. Im not a coffee machine drinker!

We have looked at industrial ones but way over the budget! Spend of probably 1-2K

Been looking at Currys, Harvey Norman etc and Breville and Sage seem options. Would 2/2.5 litre tank be enough? Anyone got any other suggestions. TIA

My non expert hunch would be that for 50 - 70 coffees a day, a domestic bean to cup machine would be a false economy, needing pretty frequent replacement due to not being designed or built for that volume.

Thats what I thought but simply dont have the budget for anything bigger. They currently use jars of instant etc as the previous machine broke. There may only be 30 a day now - they might have got used to the instant :)

    "….the previous machine broke"

    (a) Do you know what type / model of machine it was ?

    (b) Do you know roughly how long it was in operation before it broke ? ( also, was it "minded" whie it was working )

I don't know which one - it was a pod one

couple of years I think - certainly wouldn't say it was 'minded'.

    Have you considered leasing one?

Might make more sense in terms of budgeting, there are companies who lease the machines, provide regular maintenance, provide supplies etc.

"a pod one" less than 100yoyo new ? but fed with expensive pods ? did the drinker pay for his pod ?

If so, why not just buy another machine and let them get on with it :)

If work has to buy pods for employees then maybe consider the matter in more depth ( Ha! Ha! )

Have you also looked at running costs? Beans are not cheap, if you are making 50-70 cups a day you would definitely need to take that cost into consideration
