We have been told that a 3 bed unit has been reserved for us as part of the Fingal affordable housing scheme and that the next step will be the developers selling agent contacting us to choose a house.

Does anyone know how long it takes between being approved for the AHS and being contacted the pick your house?

Going through the same at the moment, I received an email from the selling agent 1 day after being issued an offer from the Council. The email contained a list of available homes to choose from. The selling agent then called me to pick out a house 1 day after the email.

Hmm okay, it's been a week now for us and we've still heard nothing as of yet.

Hey! Do you mind if I ask if it was the churchfields development you applied for?

I applied for it at the start of April and haven't heard anything from them yet!

I’ve applied to the Shanganagh Castle Estate scheme last week.. the portal was a nightmare and kept crashing, managed to finally submit the form, got a reference number of 129!

Night sure how they can confidently timestamp everyone accurately due to the site constantly crashing for everyone especially as its first come first served but does anyone know the timeline from submitting application to hearing if you’ve been successful or not? Thanks

what time did you get the application in for Shanganagh? The site wouldn’t let me on until 12.30 as it kept crashing.

How are you getting on with your application out of interest?

I see the homes advertised back in April in my own estate in Fingal are still empty with no sign of any activity. These houses were built over two years ago at this stage, bit shocking to have them empty in the middle of a housing crisis. You'd wonder how much this is repeated up and down the country.
