Does anyone have experience with this bus skipping the airport stops on it's route?

It is supposed to make 2 stops at the airport. But yesterday I got on (at the change of shift so it was drivers first route of the day) and watched him sail past the turn off for the airport and continue on direct towards Swords.

I got off in a rush next stop and walked to the airport building, too much of a rush to ask him why. There is no mention of the bus not stopping at these stops sometimes on Dublin Bus timetable. Infuriating since it was raining heavily at the time.

Did you get on a 41 with a suffix letter? None of them serve the airport.

Didn't know that, good to know, thanks.

It definitely said 41, no suffix, when I got on. I was first person on. Unless he changed it after like he made a mistake, or did the alternate route by mistake. I'll have to make certain next time to be sure I guess.

It is possible they forgot they were a 41 and not a 41B or 41C. They interchange between them all the time.

However, there would have been loads of people jumping up like you trying to get to the airport. If that happened, they would have looped in having realised the mistake.

I’ve had a Howth Rd bus turn up the Malahide Rd years ago. Can happen.

You were probably on a 41C. Can you see what time you departed Abbey St?

If you were the only one to rush off and walk to the terminal then it's likely you were on the wrong bus, if a bunch of people did the same then the bus was probably incorrect in either route or destination display.

If you know precisely when you boarded/left then you may be able to track which bus you were on through bustimes.org which holds tracking data.
