what’s the story with Mount? Would have thought he’d be nailed on for this one.

mount's last start was vs liverpool where he played 60 mins. since then: 0 mins vs bhu, 0 vs forest, 18 mins vs spurs. was on bench for bhu and forest games.

he must have some sort of knock.

with Cunha and Sesko out our attacking options off the bench are very limited.

I am interested to see how Zirkzee goes with Mbuemo tonight.

Would be great if they could form good link up play. In theory it could be a match made in heaven. Not expecting a huge amount from the Dutch man though, he's not played competitively much for the whole of 2025.

In fairness to Zirkzee, it was difficult to look good in the dysfunction that was our attack last year. Don't think he's up to the level either but wouldn't fully write him off on the basis of last season either.

Zirkzee has 2 quick and intelligent players playing close to him tonight so I we might be pleasantly surprised by him. He was playing with headless chickens last season and he does need quick players around him to bounce off. Looking forward to seeing how he goes.

Hopefully we get a few goals up before Dalot comes on and does his usual thing of giving up a few big chances per game.

Some of the fringe players looking extremely rough here already and Everton playing quite well with a strong start, it has to be said.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,307 ✭✭✭davemckenna25

A strike to the face is a red card.

Harsh but we'll take it. Looks like we need an extra man to have a chance of winning tonight.
