There’s a bit of f*cking character coming back into this side at last

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,301 ✭✭✭✭PARlance

That's a huge result, the longer they keep going without losing is massive.

This is the first squad in a long time where I don't believe We've done until the final whistle says so

Beer for the day now for me. Over in Manchester and place Im at are happy with late goal but also sesko should have won it for us

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,274 ✭✭✭mobydopy

We definitely deserve atleast a point but gutted we didn't win that. Second game in a row where we've conceded 2 goals in quick concession. The mentality to come back again and get the equaliser again is great but we need to be winning more games away if we want a chance at top 4/5 this season and I feel today was a chance missed

Fed up of how complacent this team goes a goal up, slowing down counter attacks, removing all tempo from their passing, just trying to park the bus as if it’s something we’re capable of doing. 4 points dropped in the last 2 games if you ask me. Spurs are absolutely septic.

I think its okay to start having some faith in the team's mentality again. Late winner against Liverpool after conceding. Later equalisers against Forest and Spurs after conceding. Scores a late goal against Brighton too when they were trying to come back. They're showing some fortitude to get late goals.

Mount and Ugarte weren't at it when they came on.

    Ugarte, Dalot & Maz.

    Sell them all.

5 unbeaten with Liverpool and Spurs away in those games. Not bad at all

11 points out of 15 and no defeats. We'd all have taken that if offered it at the beginning of this sequence. Cunha and Maz were way off it today but we showed tremendous character to get the draw from a losing position again.

Spurs are a sickening dose, richarlison celebrating like he'd just won the world cup and mammoth delusion from their fans about the club's place in the PL. Bizarre.

Wouldn't have deserved to lose that game, great to show that bit of fight.

Ugarte really offers nothing, he's awful. Teams can press a lot more confidently because he's so bad on the ball.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,554 ✭✭✭fergiesfolly

    Happyish with that.

Tackle aside, I think Sesko should be scoring from that position. His confidence will be depleting game on game. Strikers need goals and he doesn't look like he believes in himself.

Disappointed in Cunha today. He's gone off the boil a little. But when he's on it, he's beautiful.

Another great performance from Mbeumo. Fantastic finish.

Delighted for DeLigt. Played really well. Unlucky with the deflection but the header at the end was just brilliant.

Licha back will be a huge boost. He brings an aggression no one else in the team has. And he is better than other defenders at bringing the ball out of defence.

Another international break(sigh) really breaks up any momentum. Sick of them

Mount really, I thought he played well could have assisted two goals, pressed well, defended well

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 17,266 ✭✭✭✭Nalz

I thought Cunha and Mazrouri weren't great but Dalot, Ugarte, Sesko and Dorgu's forward decision making are the let downs. Dorgu defensively and his energy were massive pluses though. I might be a little harsh on Dalot there, I just can't take to him.

I expected more composure from Mount when he came on.

Even with all that we deserved to win.

    Have you played football before?

It's not great defending at all. It's an awful first touch by Sesko that makes it very very simple for the defender to make a challenge.

A top striker touches that to take it away to the left - not giving the defender a chance, or dummies a first touch before shooting.

Go back and look at it again and tell me I'm wrong.
