Carers benefit

I was recently awarded the carers benefit to look after my elderly father . Since then however my father has received a letter regarding his state pension and he needs to complete a 15 page form of his assets . Would this be linked to me getting the carers benefit? The poor man is unable to even complete the form as it is .
I would hate to think I have triggered this. Would this be a coincidence or linked?
    thank you

Unlikely . All means tested payments are subject to a review at any time. Entirely random and standard procedure. Your Carer's Benefit wouldn't have been approved if you and he didn't qualify.

Can you complete the form for him ?
