Cost per square metre

Just looking for a very ballpark range for construction of a large house - standard block construction, normal slates, not perfectly square, so a few different roof planes, but nothing excessive.
I know it’s a piece of string type question, but in the past folk would say maybe120 per square foot for a new build, (obviously a good bit in the past).
Finish would be fairly standard and excluding kitchens etc, on an accessible site down the country.
Thinking of a 400-500 square metre build.
Just to get a rough range for current prices.
    TIA

your missing a 0 in the cost

3000-4500 a sqm depending on where and how nice.

you can build for more or less and i'm sure someone will be along to say they built for 200 a Sqm and a packet of peanuts

Yeah, meant per square foot for that historic cost.
Thanks for the link. Seems to average 2700 outside Dublin for larger detached.
Would building from new be a bit more than these rebuild guides?
