Car thefts at a ten year high

Spotted this during the week. Nearly 5000 cars stolen last year, a ten year high. Most of them ‘disappearing into thin air’. Chopped and sent abroad mostly.

Physical deterrents like steering locks and posts on your driveways seem to be the only protection against theft.

Gardaí can’t get any inside info on the criminal network behind it as it is mostly Russian speaking.

    Worth a read.
