Looks quite decent. Nice to see Grant mix it up a bit.

He was one of the stand outs of the Gentlemen film.

A film of two halves really..

.. and it lost it's way towards the end!

But Hugh Grant continues to shine in an uneven, yet fun, performance.

That's the problem with an ideological story like this - all the fun stuff plays out in the 1st and 2nd acts as these philosophies are probed and the relationships are felt out… then the third act just needs things to happen to tie up the story.

Well worth seeing for those first two acts I think though. Really well constructed low budget contained story with three great performances, and the third act was still fine in its own way even if not living up to what it had accomplished before then.

Really enjoyed the first half and really disappointed by the second half. The acting was top notch but was let down by a poor script.

This came across as more Blumhouse than A24 but it was enjoyable enough. Some of the diatribes came across as something you'd read in a Dan Brown "novel" or from a typical Reddit user but I got a kick out of the film as a whole. Not sure why Topher Grace got a credit when he was practically unrecognisable and in it for all of 30 seconds. 6.5/10

^ Didn't even realise it was Topher Grace until I spotted the cast list somewhere..

I quite enjoyed it. Grant is having a late purple patch.
