Planning on traveling from perpignan to Barcelona with 2 kids. Trains can be quite expensive, though keeping an eye on prices. Options for busses seem to be blablabus or flixbus, both which seem to have dreadful reviews. Has anyone asking these busses before, is there other alternatives that someone might know?

Have used Flixbus 3ish times and there were issues each time. Used Flixbus to get from Los Angeles to San Diego, Lyon to Geneva and tried getting a Flixbus from Bordeaux to San Sebastian.

The bus stop in San Diego wasn't marked at all so we weren't sure where to get the bus back from. We met other people walking up and down this road in San Diego looking for the stop. Where we all ended up was a few hundred metres from the stop but we all saw the bus when it had stopped down the road and walked to it.

In Lyon the buses destination was mislabelled on the elecronic display so we ended up missing the bus. Flixbus refunded us and we got the next bus an hour or 2 later.

With Bordeaux - San Sebastian, San Sebastian was an intermediate stop on the route. The bus arrived over an hour late at a stop well out of the centre of town. When we got on the bus the driver told us the bus didn't stop in San Sebastian. Tried getting a refund from Flixbus who refused saying the bus showed up but we didn't.

If travelling with kids I'd just get the train and save the hassle.
