    Exactly 50 years ago, on June 27th 1974, a tiny group of brave people marched from the Department of Justice on Stephen's Green in Dublin to the British Embassy on Merrion Road, to highlight the criminalisation of homosexuality.

    This very first protest, five years after the Stonewall riots in New York, followed the birth of the gay rights movement in Ireland a few months earlier.

    Dublin Pride week 2024 will mark the 50th anniversary of this historic protest. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈
