Suspicious roof slates

Hi all,

I noticed some of the roof slates on the house I rent are a worn down.

I'm worried that they might contain asbestos.

Has anyone come across similar looking slates?

Normal weathering and wear, nothing to worry about

They're fibre cement tiles and the coating is failing but there's no asbestos in them, so no need to worry.

No alls fine, have seen 5 year old slates go like this. Some people get GENUINE CERTIFIED COMPANIES to repaint them over time.

Asbestos in roofing material is harmless, it's the fine dust caused when cutting, breaking etc. that can be a health hazard if it gets into the lungs.

Which is all moot, as these tiles do not contain any asbestos.

Here are some of the tiles from the other side.

The fibres at the end of tiles is what got me worrying.

Plenty of years in them yet.

The ladder you're standing on would be of more concern than the slates.
