    hey all, new here!
My mother passed away and there is a loan of 105k owed back to fair deal. If I do not wish to sell her house, can I just pay the 105k back myself? If I do, can I claim 40% back in tax?

No problem paying it back yourself but I doubt you can claim the tax.
