    just wondering which invertor is better, looking between a Solis 5KW and a Huawei,
    both systems are 18 x Jinko 435 Bifacial

    Solis quote 2 x WECO Batteries 10.6KW €11000
    Huawei Quote 2 x 5KW Batteries with BMS €12500

    The price difference is €1500 to go with Huawei,

    Adding additonal Battery costs
    Weco = €1800
    Huawei = €2400

    what if any is the advantage of going with Huawei over Solis ??

    FWIW, neighbour had several months of faffing about to get his Huawei install sorted out, although it was apparently the installers first time using Hauwei kit. You'd also be locked in to any future battery expansions/replacement being the more expensive Huawei.

    Personally, I'd go with Solis (happy enough with my 1-month old setup). Can't comment on WECO batteries but I'd have zero reason to be put off by them.

    Why bi-facial panels? When fitted on roof mounts the gain is minimal AFAIK because they are so close to the roof. I have a Solis over 2 years and no issues, I know the Huawei has some better features but only if you intend using them and the likes of using it for backup power during power cuts comes at an extra cost for more equipment to enable it whereas the Solis can be just used either as a whole house changeover or a double socket fitted beside the inverter for low loads. The changeover switch does cost extra but the socket can be done on installation and should cost nothing.

    Don't expect anything from life, just be grateful to be alive.

    there is no extra cost as such any more to go bifacal
