garage porch planning

    Hi all,

I am looking to add some space in my garage.

I cant go out the back of it, I really only have the option of coming forward.

I was considering adding a 'porch' to my garage, coming out about 700mm

My hope is to put a steel frame onto the front of the current garage, around the doors here, move the doors forward, attaching them to the frame and putting a tiled slanted roof on it, to start below the pebbledash in the photo.

2 questions then, if I keep it under 2sqm, can I avoid planning ( coz its a porch )

And will i make the front my house look sh….oddy ?

in this hilarous rendition by an expert painter, you can see the blue steel frame which i will build and bolt to the front of the garage.

the red is a perspex panel I will put in to fill the gap at the side of the frame, to the wall
