Not exactly sure if I'm in the right place for my question. Tucson phev purchased new beginning of Feb with full tank of petrol. I've topped up with €50 since but tank still looks 3/4 full so I'm getting most of my mileage on EV. I notice often at lights when stopped ,engine revs or if battery dips towards low teens percent petrol kicks in. Dial showing 2.3 L/100k but varies significantly ( briefly up to 8l/100km) . How do I a) assess what I'm getting from petrol versus EV and B) is there a way of ensuring EV only?

Apologies if I'm.in the wrong place

If it's like any other Hyundai PHEV, the petrol engine kicks in once the battery drops to about 15%. There's nothing you can do about it other than keeping it above this threshold. If you're too heavy footed, the petrol engine will also kick in so watch for this as well.

You can get an OBDII dongle and PHEV Watchdog app on your phone to give you EV and fuel stats. You can get an instantaneous readout from the app and it is quite useful. I used it when I had an Ioniq PHEV for a few years.
