Changing cartridge in mixer kitchen tap

I need to change the hot cartridge in our kitchen tap due to dripping. I know I'll need to turn off the hot water, but will I also need to turn off the mains water to do the job? I'm not touching the cold cartridge.

If 2 single valves for hot and cold, then just turn off the hot.
