Has anyone advice on taking a claim case against the council for vehicle damage caused by bad roads, ramps and potholes etc., is it just a waste of time and money?

In general, if it is something that they haven't done, e.g. fix a pothole, you are unlikely to get anywhere.

However, if they do something, but do it negligently or maliciously, you may have a case,

I get the impression most claims go through the State Claims Agency. https://stateclaims.ie/
