Energia bill low EV usage

Hi, just a query really, I've changed to Energia EV Rate on March and today I got the bill, but it only shows 9 EV units consumed (2-6am) and I religiously use the wash machine and dishwasher on those times, so there's no way I only consumed 9 units, any idea what could be happening here or did anybody come across this issue? I'll ring them on Monday anyway… thanks!

It's probably worth logging into ESB Networks and checking your smart meter data to make sure it's as you'd expect

It's also worth checking the billing period, maybe you switched close to the end of a two month billing cycle

Hi! Download the smart meter data and then upload it into EnergyPal.

    https://www.esbnetworks.ie/existing-connections/meters-and-readings/my-smart-data

    https://energypal.ie/

It should show you the use. If you're willing to share screenshots then we can assist further.

Hi, thanks guys for helping out, so I think definitely there's something wrong either with the way the smart meter is relying information or I don't know, I have an EV and I charged it on the 17th, starting at 2am and it used approx 5.5 kw/h, I can see that in the myenergi app but there is no spike in either the HDF or the Energia CSV export, unless I'm reading it wrong? I made sure to export a longer range in case it was miscounting days.

I'm attaching them here (zipped since it doesn't allow me to upload CSV's).

I was able to export data from myenergi where it clearly shows the 5.5kw consumed, so not sure if I should contact Energia or ESB about it? Did anybody come across this kind of issues before? See the csv export in the zip file.

I'm not able to look at the data but if the HDF isn't matching the data from the Zappi then it's definitely worth contacting ESBN

There could be a signal issue with your meter, or it's possible they tied your MPRN to the wrong smart meter and you're seeing someone else's data

EDIT: I should probably mention that I can't view the data because I'm on mobile

Best way to check you're reading the data correctly is to load it into Energy Pal, it'll show you the hourly usage

So, after analysing all my data, came to the conclusion that something is very wrong because myenergi is giving me a completely different data coming from my CT Clamp than what ESB and my provider show me, so after contacting them and getting them to take a look at this, seems my MPRN and the serial number on my meter do not match, so I guess I've been paying for my neighbours consumption and they were paying for mine. At least I got this sorted before putting up solar panels! That would have been a nightmare, thanks for helping everyone.

Oh for flip's-sake - that's annoying alright. Aren't you glad you looked into it. I wonder what your neighbor thinks of your EV charging habits. 😁

Ha! They're lucky I just started charging this past 2 weeks… now I need to call my old provider to let them know about the problem so they can cancel all my previous bills and issue new ones once I have the right MPRN, what a mess! But kudos to Energia's customer service, really on the ball on this and super helpful.
