Does anyone know where I could buy or rent a clippers for branches (less thick than an average forearm) that are at least 5M high? With the way the tree is positioned, no ladder can easily get up it, and I can’t imagine tree pruners will come out for such a small job. Any ideas?

If like an average forearm you need more than a clippers or lopper. There are pole mounted chainsaws on sale, probably rent them as well. Did Aldi or Lidl have an electric one recently I think. These often extend to 4 metres or so. So perhaps set up a stable bench that you can stand on but make sure you can retreat quickly off it, if something falls back your way. Best make sure the cuts will allow the material fall down away from you.

Something like this will easily cut the sort of branches you want to cut.

    Similar also on Amazon.
