Insulation Query

My son/wife have just purchased 1st house and are looking at a pathway to efficiency they can afford re: SEAI, loans, etc

Several houses in their terrace have been wrapped, but their house has an awkward extension to the rear. Could it make sense to get external insulation at the front (which I understand is best) but internal insulation at the rear ? . Might be the most practical solution, but not sure if I've heard it done before. Just exploring the options.

    Thanks, K

Whichever way you go keep all documentation, receipts/spec sheets so when getting a BER you can prove what was done. Not sure why the extension couldn't be wrapped, close to a wall? The stuff used is fairly adaptable unless it is a curved area.

Don't expect anything from life, just be grateful to be alive.
