    Hi

Needing to buy a new double bed frame and came across the following on sale

    https://www.ezlivingfurniture.ie/double-4ft6-rustic-bed-frame-atlas-138351.html

Apparently reduced from 599 to 329. Would anyone know from experience are EZ Living Furniture sale prices actually real discounts? i.e Was it ever really 599.. I'm not sure what sort of money something like this usually goes for..

    tnx

I bought a couch there for 2599 it arrived last week. Bought it in Feb, late Feb.

Went in yesterday to look for cushions, coffee tables etc to go with it and same couch is 2099

It's still 2599 on their website but was 2099 in store.

So in my case, yeah there's a sale on and I'm not delighted about it!

Well this is what the law says....

    Sale prices

Sale prices must also show the prior price. The prior price is the lowest price the goods were on sale for in the 30 days before the sale. For example, a TV advertised as ‘was €1400, now €900’ must not have been available for less than €1400 in the 30 days before the sale started.

I'll also caveat that by saying when I bought it it said reduced from over 4000, can't remember the exact figure.

I wouldn't get too bogged down in whether it's a sale or not, if you think something is good value then buy it.

they put a price on something for a week and then reduce it to a "sale" price

There is never a sale behind the scenes - they are making alot of money and just marketing around the rules.

I got free delivery and a 20% discount by just asking in store
