Any calculators for factoring in future usage/production

Hi all,

So I have run my smart meter numbers through Energypal.ie but now that I am about to get some solar, I am trying to predict the best provider. While I know my annual usage and even the hourly breakdown, is there any tools or calculators to help factor in things like estimate solar produced (I have used   PHOTOVOLTAIC GEOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION SYSTEM to figure out estimates)? I am also looking at 10Kw of batteries which again will make a difference who I go with (Night EV rate).

Either in the data tab, and ESBN Smart Meter Data, or from the Usage tab, in the load profile you get (after you create a usage):

If you click the icon, you will get a file browser. You can load from Downloads, or Google drive, or anywhere you phone can access.

This is handy if you have old data as ESBN only hold 2 years, or to your last supplier switch.

Ah, Im stuck on the set credentials. It is rejecting all usernames and passwords I am trying.
Is it the credentials for ESB you have to use? I only have a HDF file not the credentials, so will this not work for me?

My bad. Just tested that. Without the ESBN credentials you are stuck alright. I will fix this in the next version as it's a bug. You need the MPRN to load the file (DB key), but should not need credentials to set the MPRN.

You can still create a load profile manually:

Usage tab, '+' button, give a name

Click on the house (load profile)

Click on the edit button, select 'custom' and use the three tabs to set your load distribution by hour of day, day of week and month of year. The distributions are relative to each other. Set your total annual usage, and the app will do the rest.

Alternatively you can select a Standard Load Profile (suppliers use these to calculate the EAB), and tweak it to better match your usage pattern.

@MRTULES, I have pushed a fix to internal testing, and will promote to beta in a couple of days if there are no issues — there should not be as it was a simple enough fix and the previous internal test seems stable. After another while, full release.

If you are brave (and impatient) I can add you to the internal test list, then you will get the latest (not always the greatest).
