It would be useful to potential home buyers to gather together a list of the most common repairs that are required when buying a house that is 20+ years old. Any contributions would be appreciated. For many of us there could be costly repairs that we might not be aware of and should be factoring into our home buying budget…

It would be useful to potential home buyers to gather together a list of the most common repairs that are required when buying a house that is 20+ years old. Any contributions would be appreciated. For many of us there could be costly repairs that we might not be aware of and should be factoring into our home buying budget (the costings would probably be better dealt with separately as getting a list of things to do would be the starting point), thanks.

- Replace boiler
- Replace windows with double/triple glazing
- Replace plumbing and radiators
- Replace electrical system
- Replace external doors
- Paint the interior walls
- Replace cooker and other common kitchen applicances
